The employment contract should contain the salary, working hours, the full address of your employer, and a detailed job description.

Make sure to enclose your original passport in your application packet. This is required so that the visa can be stamped on your passport. Your passport's validity should be at least 150 days from your date of arrival.

In addition to a copy, your original US residence proof (Green Card, US Visa) is required to process your application. If you have a visa, make sure to also submit the passport that contains it. If you have a Green Card, please enclose the original. 

Portugal requires an FBI Background Check. Please do not open the seal.

In order to prove that you can support your visit financially, you need to provide financial evidence. This can be bank statements or a letter of sponsorship if someone else is paying for your visit. If you do opt for bank statements, make sure that the average balance per day you are visiting is at least $70. #i18n

If you're going for employment then your offer letter would work. If you are going for studies, you will need to show proof of funds or evidence of scholarship.

You are required to show evidence of your travel plans in the form of draft or purchased flight tickets. Note that you are not required to purchase flight tickets until you get your visa. You just need a roundtrip ticket that matches your travel dates. If you opted for one on the app, you're all set!

Don't forget to get these! You can go to a Walgreens, FedEx, or a UPS store near you.

This is required for entry. Make sure to carry a copy with you.

You are required to show evidence of your accommodation in the form of hotel bookings. Note that you are not required to purchase hotels until you get your visa. You just need a draft booking that matches your travel dates. If you opted for one on the app, you're all set!

Indian income tax return acknowledgment for the last two assessment years

You are required to present documents that prove your occupation. This is usually a letter that indicates your employer name, role, and start date. For students, this is a letter from your University indicating what you study. The letter has to clearly permit you to take time off for the duration of your travel.

If you're married and cannot provide evidence of marital status in the passport or a copy of ration card, if applicable

Your visa fees has to be paid using a money order. No other form of payment is accepted, and you can get one from USPS near you. #i18n

This is the equivalent of SSN in the US. You're required to get this number to apply for a D7 visa.

If mailing in, the application has to be notarized along with a passport copy.

In order to mail in your application, the forms need to be notarized. If you did not opt to do so in the app, you can visit a FedEx near you to get your application notarized or use the app to have it notarized digitally.

This can either be an employer, university administrator, or your landlord.

A recent passport photo on a white background is required as part of your application.

If you're salaried/employed, you need to provide payslips for the last 3 months

Please print your complete visa packet available on the app.

It is highly advised to have a printed copy of your e-visa.

While not required, it is recommended to carry a printed copy of your visa.

This is your university degree or proof of qualification for your job/studies. Take the original and a copy. If you've multiple degrees, take all of them. 

A proof of accomodation (lease) of 12 months is required. Airbnbs or hotels do not count.

If you're self employed/business owner, you need to provide a certificate of registration of the company

Please enclose an empty return envelope that the Embassy will use to affix the return label and send your passport back.

A shipping label to the consulate is required to send in your application via mail. A return label is required to be sent along with your application packet so that your passport can be sent back.

Travel insurance is required to get a visa. There are many places you can buy from as long as the minimum coverage is EUR 30,000.

Travel insurance is required for the first 90 days of your stay. You can contact us to buy one.

Make sure to take 2 copies of your passport.
