Government measures: State of emergency

Across Peru, a state of emergency continues to be in force. Proof of vaccination is required to access most indoor establishments. Residents must also provide proof of having received a booster dose. Use of mask: Required

KN95 face masks are required in enclosed environments and on public transportation. Alternatively, travelers may wear a three-fold surgical mask with a fabric mask over it. More restrictive or relaxed guidance may be in effect depending on the region visited.

Public transportation: Restrictions in place

Public transportation is operating with limits to capacity in place. Interprovincial trips are restricted to vaccinated passengers. Residents must also provide proof of having received a booster dose or a negative COVID-19 test result, taken within 48 hours of departure. Passengers may be required to show their identity document.

Restaurants: Restrictions in place

Restaurants are open with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. Proof of vaccination is required for indoor dining.

Bars: Restrictions in place

Bars are open with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. Proof of vaccination is required for indoor dining.

Nightclubs: Closed

Nightclubs remain closed to limit the rate of transmission.

Shops: Restrictions in place

Shops and services are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing.
