Do you need a Test/Medical Certificate?

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on arrival. Alternatively, proof of a negative rapid antigen test can be presented, taken with the previous 24 hours. Test results must be in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian.

Do you need to be vaccinated?

With the fast vaccination rate and the epidemiologic situation improving in Greece and other countries, the Greek authorities decided to open the borders for EU and third-country travellers back in May. However, in order to protect public health and ensure safe holidays for the tourists, the authorities imposed entry requirements against travellers, including proof of vaccination, which still remains effective. As such, according to a travel protocol issued by the Government of Greece, the country accepts as valid proof of vaccination all of the vaccines listed below: 1. Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty) 2. Moderna (Spikevax) 3. AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) 4. Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) 5. Sinovac (CoronaVac) 6. AstraZeneca – Serum Institute of India (Covishield) 7. Novavax 8. Sputnik V 9. Cansino Biologics 10. Sinopharm BIBP “Acceptable vaccines are: Pfizer BioNtech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Novavax, Johnson + Johnson/Janssen, Sinovac Biotech, Gamaleya (Sputnik), Cansino Biologics, Sinopharm among others,” the Government said.

Do you need to wear a mask?

Face masks are required in public spaces, enclosed environments, and on public transportation. High filtration or double masks with at least one surgical mask, are required in supermarkets, pharmacies, and on public transportation.

What additional documentation is needed?

A completed 'passenger locator form' must be submitted within 24 hours of departure. The QR code generated by this form must be presented on arrival.

Bars

Bars are open until midnight for vaccinated and recently recovered customers, with seating limited to a maximum of 10 people per table. Customers may dine outside with proof of negative testing.

Restaurants

Restaurants are open until midnight for vaccinated and recently recovered customers, with seating limited to a maximum of 10 people per table. Customers may dine outside with proof of negative testing.

Nightclubs

Nightclubs are open until midnight for vaccinated and recently recovered customers, with seating limited to a maximum of 10 people per table. Customers may dine outside with proof of negative testing.

Shops

Shops and services are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing.

Public Transportation

Public transportation is operating at reduced capacity. Proof of vaccination, recovery, or testing is required to travel by bus or train.
