The e-visa application is very straightforward. You can follow this step-by-step guide to apply for your e-visa to Turkey from Australia.
Step 1: Access the website
You must first access the website you'll use to apply.
You'll see that you need to provide the country of your travel document, type of travel document and enter the Captcha code.
Once you're done, click to continue. This will take you to another page that will show you the validity of your visa, whether it's a single or multiple entry visa, and the costs.
After you've read everything, click "Save and Continue."
Step 2: Complete the online application form
Next, you must complete the online application form. You'll need to provide personal details like your name, surname, place of birth, passport number, mother's name, father's name, email, phone number, etc.
At the bottom of the page, you can either click to add another application or you can click "Save and Continue."
Step 3: Verify your application
Next, you must verify all the information you provided. After you click "verify," you won't be able to change the information again. If any information is incorrect, officials will deny your visa.
Step 4: Pay the visa fee and submit your application
The last thing you must do is pay your visa fee (credit card) and submit your visa application.
Officials will then process your visa once they receive your visa application. After that, you'll receive your visa via email, which you should download and print to show Turkish authorities.
If you don't want to apply for your visa through the online portal or can't. You must apply through the Turkish Embassy also known as a sticker visa.
The first thing you must do is gather all the required documents:
Next, you must schedule an appointment at the nearest Turkish Embassy. You can also use this time to find out whether you need to pay the visa fee with cash or a card.
On the day of your appointment, arrive at the Embassy at least 15 min before your appointment. Make sure you have all the required travel documents with you. You might have to attend a visa interview. Don't worry; officials will only ask you questions about your travel, and you can use your supporting documents to answer.
After the interview, you must pay the visa fee and submit your documents. Then all you need to do is wait for the Embassy to process your application.
Once your visa is ready, the Embassy will contact you, and you can pick up your passport and visa.
Once you arrive in Turkey, you must have your passport, visa, and return flight ticket to show to Immigration Officers at the airport.
Other than that, there's nothing to worry about.

Yes, you can. If you wish to stay in Turkey longer than your e-Visa permits, you must apply at the nearest Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for a residence permit.
Remember that you must apply for a visa extension before your current visa expires.
If you overstay your visa, you might be asked to pay fines, be deported, or ban future travel to Turkey for a specific period. This is why it's best to either apply for a visa extension or leave the country before your visa expires.
No, you can't. A Turkey e-visa is issued for tourism or leisure purposes only (not for work). Therefore, if you wish to work in Turkey, you must apply for the appropriate visa (Turkey Work Visa).
