Interview Questions

You must schedule an appointment or interview at the Costa Rica Consulate General when applying for a paper visa. If you apply for an e-visa, you don't have to schedule an appointment. However, you should remember that some e-visa applications still require you to schedule an interview or appointment.

When authorities from the Costa Rica need to visit the United States for business, the Embassy must assist them in entering the country.

  • Accepting visa applications(online or offline)
  • Verification of the application forms to ensure that the information is accurate
  • Conducting visa interviews
  • Attestation of the documents: This is certified by a stamp from the CR Embassy to issue long-term visas like resident, employment, or student visas.

Assisting Costa Rica Citizens With Passport Issues

  • Lost passport affidavit: If you lose your passport, you must lodge an FIR complaint at the Police Station
  • Circulate a new passport: The CR Embassy issues a temporary passport in case you lose your passport
