Armenia Student Visa Requirements

Documents Required

To apply for the Armenia student visa, you will need the following documents:

Application Form: The Armenia visa application form can be completed online and printed.

Passport: You will need a valid passport for the duration of your stay in Armenia.

Photo: You must provide a passport-sized photo when completing the application form.

Payment Receipt: Submit your online payment receipt.

Flight Tickets: Provide your flight tickets to show proof of arrival date.

Proof of Accommodation: Submit proof of accommodation to show where you will stay.

Proof of Finance: Show proof that you have finances to cover your living costs by submitting bank statements.

Invitation Letter: Submit an invitation letter from the institution you will study at.

Travel Insurance: It is not always mandatory, but having travel insurance when staying in Armenia for longer periods is advised.

Copy of Your Passport Pages: Submit a copy of your passport pages with the previous 3 years' visas, residency permits, or other documents.

Temporary Resident Permit Documents Required

Here are the documents you must take with you to Armenia to apply for your temporary resident permit:

Application Questionnaire: You must complete the application questionnaire and print it out.

Photos: You need 3x colour photos.

Passport: You must submit a copy of your valid passport. You must also submit a notarised translation of the passport.

Health Certificate: you must submit a health certificate for the Armenia residency permit.

Valid Visa: You must have your approved visa when applying for a residency permit.

Payment Receipt: You must submit the receipt for the resident permit payment.

Here are the steps when applying for a visit visa from the embassy:

Gather Your Documents: The first step will be to gather all your documents. This step is important since any missing documents can delay your visa processing.

Complete The Application Form: You can complete the application form on the government website. Once completed, you must print the form.

Pay The Visa Fee: The visit visa fee for Armenia must be paid online using the electronic payment for Armenia.

Visit The Embassy: Visit the embassy and submit your application and all your documents.

Wait For Your Visa: Once you have submitted your application, your visa will be processed. The processing takes about 10 days.

Collect Your Visa: Once your visa gets approved, you can go and collect it from the embassy.

Applying For Your Armenia Temporary Resident Visa

Once you have your Armenia visit visa, you can travel to Armenia. Once there, you can go and apply for your temporary resident permit:

Have All Your Documents Ready: Ensure you have completed all your documents, including the application questionnaire.

Pay The Permit Fee: Pay the temporary resident permit fees for Armenia. The fee must be paid online before visiting the embassy.

Apply For Your Permit: Visit the Ministry of Internal Affairs of The Republik of Armenia. There, you must submit your application and documents.

Wait For The Processing: After submitting your application, the permit will be processed. The processing takes about 30 days.

Collect Your Permit: Once your temporary resident permit gets approved, you can go and collect it from the Ministry.

Checking Your Armenia Visa Status

You can check your Armenia visa status online if you have applied for your visit visa through the e-visa portal. Here are the steps to track your visa:

Select the option of "Check Application Status".

Provide your Application ID.

Enter the captcha.

Click "Check Visa Status" to see the current status of your visa.

When you have applied through the embassy, you can contact the embassy to inquire about the status of your visa.

What Are The Armenia Student Visa and Resident Permit Fees?

The fees for the Armenia student visa are as follows:

Single entry 21-day visit visa: AMD 3,000.

Single entry 120-day visit visa: AMD 15,000.

Multiple entry visit visa for 60-day visit visa: AMD 20,000.

Multiple entry visit visa for 120-day visit visa: AMD 40,000.

The fee for the 1-year temporary resident card is AMD 105,000.

What Is the Armenia Student Visa Processing Time?

The Armenia student visa processing time takes about 10 days.

The temporary resident permit takes about 30 days to process.

Note: Any delays can cause your Armenia visa processing time to take longer. So be sure to apply for your visa at least 2 weeks before you travel.

What Is The Armenia Student Visa Stay Period?

The stay period for the Armenia student visa will vary based on the type of visa you applied for. Here are the different stay periods:

Visit visa for a 21-day stay period.

Visit visa for a 60-day stay period: 6-month validity period.

Visit visa for a 120-day stay period: 1-year validity period.

Can I Extend The Armenia Student Visa?

Yes, Indian citizens can extend the stay period for the student visa. The visit visa can be extended for an additional 60 days.

Contact the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to start the visa extension. You must submit a completed visa extension application form and provide reasons for the extension.
