Do I Need Hong Kong Transit Visa?
No, Indians have visa-free travel for 14 days. Indian nationals are only required to complete pre-arrival registration online successfully before visiting or transiting the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) visa-free.
If someone wants to visit or pass through HKSAR (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) but can't do it without a visa, or they want to stay longer than what's allowed without a visa, they must get a transit visa before arriving.
The need for a transit visa depends on various factors, including the duration of your stay in Hong Kong and your final destination. Here are some scenarios to consider:
Short Layover: If you have a short layover (less than 48 hours) and do not plan to leave the airport transit area, you do not require a transit visa.
Longer Transit Stay: If you have a longer transit stay or plan to exit the airport, a Hong Kong Transit Visa/PAR is generally required.
To increase your chances of getting a visit or transit visa/entry permit to enter Hong Kong, make sure to meet the following conditions:
The applicant is honest and truthful.
The applicant has enough money to support themself during this stay.
For transit visa/entry permit applications, the applicant must possess an onward ticket to their final destination, except when the destination is Mainland China or Macao.
