What Types Of Mexico Visas Are Available For Indians

Mexico Offer Several Types of visas for Indian citizens who would like to visit Mexico.

  • Mexico Visitor visa For Indians. This visa allows Indian citizens to stay in Mexico for up to 180 days (6 months). It is for tourism, transit, or volunteering. You cannot extend The Mexican visitor visa beyond the validity period.
  • Mexico Business Visa For Indians. This visa allows Indians to use it for different business purposes. Such as taking part in conferences, meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Mexico Work Visa For Indians. This visa allows Indian nationals to work in Mexico. If the Indian citizen has a work contract or a job offer from a company based in Mexico.
  • Temporary Resident Visa For Indians. This visa is valid for up to 4 years. After which they will convert it into a permanent resident visa. This visa allows unlimited entry into Mexico.

Is There A Mexico Visa On Arrival For Indian Citizens?

No. There is no Mexico Visa on Arrival for Indian citizens available. Indians who plan to travel to Mexico must apply for the Mexico Visa for Indians before traveling.

What Are The Document Requirements For The Mexican Visa For Indian Citizens?

For every international travel, you will need to apply for a visa. You will need to have the following documents for the Mexico Tourist visa from India.

  • An Original valid Indian passport: A clear picture of the first and last page. As an Indian citizen, you must have an Indian passport valid for 6 months after entering Mexico. But, suppose your passport has less than 6 months left from the intended travel date. In that case, you must get a new passport before starting your application process.
  • Proof of legal stay in India: A visa copy and entry stamp in case you hold another nationality.
  • Visa Application form: Filled (has a print on one page, double-sided)
  • One recent passport-sized photograph: a 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm photograph with a white background, without glasses. Your face should cover 80% of the photo.
  • Your employer's original cover letter shows the date of joining. You must have worked for at least one year in the same company. If applicable, you will need o to include a copy of the passport or PAN card of the person signing the letter. Or if it's a Mexican company.
  • Original salary slips. The last 3 months, if applicable, are stamped and signed by the company. Please; include a copy of the passport or the PAN card of the person signing the contract.
  • Original personal cover letter. You have to state your stay duration and the trip's purpose.
  • Original personal Bank statement. Stamped and signed, or a passbook (last 3 months) certified by the bank.
  • If you are self-employed: you will need the original documents of the business establishment/property ownership duly apostilled.
  • Personal Income Tax Return (ITR) or form 16 (previous year)
  • Visa fee of ($48 US Dollars payable in INR at the current exchange rate)
  • For Indian children/ applicants under 25 years old. Those who are financially dependent on the main applicant, include a birth certificate duly apostilled and the parent's passport copy.
  • For parents dependent on the main applicant. Need to include the birth certificate of the main applicant duly apostilled by the ministry of external Affairs and a passport copy.

Attending Your Mexico Visa Appointment

There are things you need to know when you're attending your Mexico visa for an Indian appointment.

How To Book An Appoint Through The Citas Website

Please note that the embassy does not book or grant appointments. You need to book Appointments through Cita for the Visa services. Appointments are free of charge. If you get a message saying "no office found," no appointments are available.

Once you have booked your appointment, you cannot change it, reschedule, or change it.

What Do You Need When You Attend Your Appointment?

You must bring all your documents and the payment receipt when you attend your appointment. When you book the appointment on Citas website, you will receive a confirmation letter in your email. Which you must take with you to your appointment. On the day, they will ask for the following:

  • Take a photograph
  • Fingerprints
  • They will also interview to confirm the purpose of your trip.
  • Mask is compulsory
  • Know that the official will check your temperature at the embassy's entrance.
  • All documents should be in one folder (plastic)

Furthermore, applicants can travel on business, tourism, or transit for less than 180 days as long as they present any mentioned documents at the point of entry.

The rules do not apply to temporary residence card holders of the USA, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Schengen Visa, or Pacific Alliance (Colombia, Peru, Chile). Instead, they will need to apply for a Mexican visa.
