Non US citizens with a valid US residency can apply for a German tourist visa in the United States. There are a few ways to apply.

In-person application

The traditional way to apply for a German visa is in-person at the nearest Germany consulate to your city of residence. You can use the German Consulate Finder to determine the right consulate for you.

Mail-in application

US residents with a valid passport that obtained a Schengen visa in the past 5 years are eligible to mail-in their application to the respective German consulate without having to visit physically. This is a preferred option amongst frequent travelers because it avoids the stress and time required associated with an in-person appointment.
