Yes, unfortunately, before you can explore your new working environment, you must follow some quarantine restrictions with COVID. The pandemic is an ever-changing thing, I recommend you keep up to date on the Cayman Islands covid-19 restrictions. Anyone who applies for the program and gets approval will have to abide by all entry requirements and rules, including multiple tests, quarantines, and even a monitoring device upon arrival in the Cayman Islands.
You must be willing to undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival at the Owen Roberts International Airport on your first day and do it again on day 15.

What Are The Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa Requirements?
As with any visa, there are specific requirements you must meet to be eligible to apply for it. Fortunately, the Cayman Islands digital nomad visa does not have many requirements, making it one of the easiest visas to get.

A Valid Passport
One of the Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa requirements is that you need a valid passport (proof of identity). Your passport must be valid for the application process and your time in the Cayman Islands.
Meet The Income Requirements
You must earn USD 100,000 per year (annual salary)if applying as an individual, USD 150,000 per year if applying as a couple, and USD 180,000 per year if you apply as a family.
Work Remotely
You must be employed by or own a business outside of the Cayman Islands or be a freelancer with clients abroad.
Health Insurance
You must have health insurance for at least the first 30 days of your stay. After that, you may apply for local insurance.
Clean Criminal Record
You cannot have marks on your criminal record. If you do, there's a big possibility that they'll reject your visa application. A police clearance will do.
What Is The Validity Of A Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa?
A Digital Nomad Visa for the Cayman Islands is valid for 2 years. This means that you can stay in the Cayman Islands for 2 years and travel in and out of the Cayman Islands as much as you want. You can also renew your Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa.
How Can I Renew My Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa?
Renewing digital nomad visas would usually require a renewal fee, and it is fairly easy to do. When your visa expires soon, drop by the Immigration Office and apply for renewal.
Bear in mind that some countries have a maximum period of stay even after renewal. Estonia, for instance, allows periods up to 1.5 years consecutively. So if you renew after a year, you can only stay for another 6 months. Then, you’re required to leave Estonia.
How Much Does A Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa Cost?
You must pay the application fee as a non-refundable deposit of at least $1469 per year and an extra USD 500 per dependent. The credit card fee is 7% of the total application fee.
What Are The Required Documents For A Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa?
Before starting your Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa Application process, you must gather a few travel documents.
If you don't provide all these documents, it could slow down your application process. You'll need the following travel documents:
A copy of your valid passport.
Proof that you work remotely.
Proof of Legal Existence of Company or Business Registration.
Bank statements from the last six months to prove that you have enough money to cover your stay.
Proof of health insurance.
Certified Background Check from last 6 Months.
If you're planning to bring family members along, each one of them must submit the following documents:
A copy of their valid passport.
Evidence of Marriage or Civil Partnership (if applicable).
Proof of Relationship for children, like a birth certificate (if applicable).
Certified background check from the last six months.
Proof of health insurance.
How Can I Apply For A Cayman Islands Digital Nomad Visa?
After gathering all your required documents, you can start your visa application process. I know it's stressful but don't worry. I'll guide you through it. Just follow my step-by-step guide.
Step1: Access the website
Go to the Global Citizen Concierge program website. They'll tell you everything you need to know, including the file upload limit, which is 15 MB per application. Go down until you see the title "personal details."
Step2: Fill in your personal details
Next, you need to answer questions about your personal details. These questions include how many people the application is for, name, nationality of birth, country of birth, email, and your address outside of the Cayman Islands.
Step3: Provide your travel details
They give you details on some visa requirements which you can go through. Then you need to provide travel details like your passport number, passport issue date, a scanned color copy of your passport, and your intended means of travel.
Step4: Criminal history
This is where you provide your Background check from the last six months.
Step5: Employment or company information
Next, you need to provide your employment details and the company website. This is also where you need to provide proof of employment, a notarized bank reference letter, and other legal supporting documents for income proof.
Step6: Dependant information
Next, you need to provide information about dependants (if you're taking family members with you).
Step7: Pay the visa application fee
If the application passes this first stage of review, you must pay the full application fee before your application moves forward to the final stage.
They will cancel your application if you fail to pay your application fee. I'll discuss the visa fees later in this post.
How Long Does It Take To Process A Digital Nomad Visa For The Cayman Islands?
The application process depends on how many applicants are applying. Usually, it takes about 3 to 4 weeks for approval. Once you submit your application, the GCCP Team will review your application for completion and accuracy, and you need to pay the Application Fee. After you pay, you'll receive an official letter as a certificate (global citizen certificate) that you're allowed to live and work remotely in the Cayman Islands. Then, you can enter the Cayman Islands within 3 months.
