How long in advance must I apply for my visa to Argentina?

It is advised to apply for your visa at least 2 month before you travel to Argentina.

What documents are required to obtain a tourist visa to Argentina?

When applying for a tourist visa to Argentina, you need the following documents:

  • Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the entry date and have 2 empty pages.

  • Copy of your passport: You need a copy of your valid passport and any valid or expired visas.

  • Application form: You must submit a duly completed application form. The pages can not be printed back-to-back.

  • Photo: You require 2x recently taken passport-sized photos, which are 4cm x 4cm.

  • Cover letter: You must submit a cover letter stating your travel itinerary, such as place of stay, flight details, and who is covering the costs. The cover letter must be translated into Spanish.

  • An employment letter: A letter from your employer stating how long you have been working and are currently employed. This letter must be notarised, and you must provide an additional letter in Spanish.

  • Bank statements: You must submit your last 3-month bank statements to show proof of sufficient funds. The bank must stamp these statements.

  • Flight tickets: Show proof of your flight details by submitting your flight tickets.

  • Hotel reservations: Proof of where you will stay is required. You can prove this by providing your hotel reservation.

  • Travel itinerary: A detailed travel itinerary corresponding to your flight tickets and hotel reservations is required.

  • Invitation letter: If you have been invited to Argentina and do not stay at a hotel, you must provide an invitation letter.

  • Salary slips: You require the last 3 months' salary slips and the last 3 years' tax returns.

Note that additional documents, such as an authorised letter, might be required when applying through a visa company. Contact the embassy to get the most accurate documents based on your application.

What should I do if my Argentina visa application is denied?

Upon visa rejection, you can reapply for the visa once you have fixed all the reasons for the denial. You must repay the visa fees since the government and visa portals do not refund the fees, except for Atlys. At Atlys, you will receive a refund of up to ₹8000 or $100 when your visa is rejected. The refund does not include the service fee.
