The documents you require will vary depending on where you apply for your visa. Here are the general documents you need when applying for your China visa for Indians:

  • Copy of valid passport.

  • 2 x passport-sized photos.

  • Visa application form.

  • Photocopy of your previous passport, which expired in the last 5 years.

How can I perform a China visa tracking from India?

Here are the steps you can follow to complete a China visa tracking:

  • Visit the visa application portal.

  • Click “Quick Access” in the “How to get a visa” section.

  • Go to “History.”

  • Next, provide either your pick-up form number + phone number or your application number + passport number.

The fees are non-refundable when applying through the government or online portals, except through Atlys. At Atlys, you will receive a refund if your visa is denied. The refund will be up to ₹8000 or $100, excluding the service fees.

The method of payment varies depending on where you apply. If you apply on Atlys, you can use a credit/debit card or an approved mobile wallet. If you apply at the application centre, you must pay using cash or a demand draft.

What are some common reasons that will cause my visa to be rejected?

The rejection of a visa varies for each applicant. But here are some of the common reasons that can cause a visa rejection:

  • If authorities find your background to be a threat to security.

  • When your passport is close to being expired.

You will receive an email notification once your China visa online submission has been approved. 

What are the China visa photo requirements?

When applying for a China visa, ensure that your photo meets the following requirements:

  • Size: 33 x 48 mm.

  • Quantity: You will require 2x passport-sized photos.

  • Background: The background must be white or close to a white colour.

  • Paper: The photo must be printed with a glossy finish

  • Colour photo: The photo must be a colour photo.

  • Quality: You must easily be recognisable and have no scratch or bend marks on the photos.

No, Indians can not work in China with a tourist visa. You must apply for a work visa to China to conduct any employment activities.

What should my travel itinerary include when applying for a China visa from India?

When you apply for a China visa, you must submit a planned travel itinerary. Here is what your travel itinerary should include:

  • Proof of flight tickets. (including return tickets)

  • Proof of accommodation.

  • Arrival dates and times.

  • Invitation letter. (if you do not have proof of accommodation, you can use an invitation letter.)

The China tourist visa allows Indians to stay up to 30 days in the country.

Can I apply for a China visa on arrival?

No, China does not provide Indian nationals the option of applying for a visa on arrival.

What are the China visa fees for Indians?

Here is a list of the fees for the China visa for Indians:

  • Double-entry visa: ₹5850.
