Is there an interview required when I apply for a Guinea tourist visa?

No, there is no interview required for the Guine tourist visa. The Guinea e-visa is an online application. You can apply for and obtain your visa without visiting an embassy or consulate.

What documents do I need when entering through immigration in Guinea?

The following documents are required when entering through Guinea immigration:

  • Valid Passport.

  • Your approved visa.

  • Sufficient funds (Cash/ Travellers Cheque/Debit or Credit Cards) to cover expenses during your stay in Guinea.

  • A valid return ticket.

How do I receive my visa once it is approved?

When your e-visa gets approved, you will be notified via e-mail. You can then download your electronic visa from your Atlys profile or email.

What happens if I provide incorrect documents for my visa application?

When you haven’t provided all the required documents, you can submit them afterwards. This will, however, delay the processing of your visa.

How does having a criminal record impact my Guinea visa application?

Having a criminal record can sometimes delay the processing of your visa. This is because the authorities usually do a background check to see the severity of your offence and if there is any risk to national security. Once the background check is complete and there is no reason to reject the visa, your visa will continue processing.

Can I apply for a visa to Guinea if my passport expires soon?

When you apply for your visa, your passport must be valid for at least six more months from the day you enter Guinea.

What should I do if my visa gets rejected?

If your visa is rejected, you can reapply for your visa. To do so, you must ensure that all your documents are provided and you meet the requirements.

Reapplying for your visa causes you to pay the visa fees again since the government or visa portals will not refund them. Instead, you can apply through Atlys, where you are guaranteed a refund of up to ₹8000 or $100 on rejected visas. This refund will not include the service fee.

Do I need travel insurance when visiting Guinea?
