  • Proof of residency: Since the Saudi eVisa is only for US, UK, or Schengen visa holders or residents of the GCC countries or permanent residents in the USA, EU, or the UK, you will need to upload a copy of your visa or any other valid proof of residency. Since the Saudi eVisa is only available for US, UK, or Schengen visa holders or residents of the GCC countries or permanent residents in the USA, EU, or the UK, those who do not have any of these will have to apply for a Saudi Arabia visa from Egypt at the Embassy/Consulate of the Kingdon of Saudi Arabia in their respective cities. 

The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a designated website, Tasheer, to make the Saudi visa process easier for foreigners. Follow the below-mentioned steps to quickly understand how you can apply.

  • Check and prepare all the documents: Visit the official Tasheer website. Click on the “How to Apply” tab at the top to double-check the Saudi visa requirements for Egyptian citizens. You will be mainly required to submit your original passport, photograph, Visa Platform Application form, return ticket, proof of employment, and bank statement, among others. 

  • Schedule an appointment: Once you have all the documents ready, click on the ‘Schedule Appointment’ section on the website to book your appointment to visit the Visa Service Center.  Once you book the appointment, you will receive an appointment letter that will provide details of your appointment, the Visa Service Center address, fee details, and other important guidelines for your application.

  • Attend your appointment: Upon reaching the service center, a token will be generated, and you will be escorted to the waiting area. When your turn comes, you will be called to make payment, submit the documents, and complete filling out the Visa Platform Form. In special cases, you may be asked to submit your biometric data.

  • Wait for the visa to be processed: After you submit the application and pay the fees, Tasheer submits the original passport along with supporting documents to the Mission/Consulate for visa processing. Please note that when it comes to sticker visas, there is no fixed processing time; however, it generally ranges between 5 to 15 working days. You can check the status of your visa by clicking on the Track Status tab on the Tasheer website.

  • Collect the passport: Once your visa is approved, you will be communicated via mail. You will have to collect the visa-affixed passport in person at the time and date indicated by the Visa Service Center.

Saudi Arabia eVisa Rules

  • Citizens of Egypt traveling to Saudi Arabia for tourism must get a Saudi visa for tourists before entering the country. 

  • For the Saudi Arabia eVisa holders, there are around 16 specific points of entry for those arriving by air, 13 for those arriving by land, and 19 for those arriving by sea. You will be able to confirm the same at the time of filling out the Saudi Arabia visa application form.

  • Be it a single-entry or multiple-entry e-visa, both allow a stay of not more than 90 days.

  • A multiple-entry Saudi visa for Egyptians has a validity of up to 1 year, whereas single-entry is valid for 90 days.
