In short, the Barbados Tourist Visa allows you to travel to Barbados for tourism or business purposes. The visa is usually valid for 6 months. If you apply for a Barbados Tourist Visa, you’re not allowed to work while in Barbados.

US citizens do not qualify for a Visa On Arrival. Instead, what happens is that you get an entry stamp at the airport.

International travelers from other countries do require a visa. Nationals from the following countries must apply for a visa (entry permit) before traveling to Barbados:

Although it sucks that you can’t just waltz into Barbados like US citizens, it’s still easy to get a Barbados Visa.

How Long Does It Take To Process A Barbados Visa?

The processing time for a Barbados Visa is 3 weeks. Some people reported that they received their visa before that, but I recommend giving it 3 weeks before contacting them.

How Much Does A Barbados Visa Cost?

The visa fees are subject to change. So make sure you check the fees before you apply. The fees are 216 BBD (Barbados Dollars) for a Single Entry Visa and 425 BBD for a Multiple Entry Visa.

How Can I Pay The Visa Fee?

You can pay the visa fee for the visa to Barbados by making a postal money order or by sending a bank draft to the Chief Immigration Officer with the address:

  • Application form, completed and signed, you can download the documents from the Barbados Immigration website.

  • A passport size photo

  • Copies of the outer cover and biometric page of your passport.

  • Birth certificate or marriage certificate (where applicable).

  • A cover letter addressed to the 'Chief Immigration Officer' bearing a return address, phone number, and email address outlining the purpose of the visit, the proposed date of entry, and the duration of your visit.

  • An employment letter or a letter from your school, college, or university.

  • Proof that you paid your visa fee (payslip).

Go to the website you use to apply for your Barbados Visa. Choose which country your passport is from and your country of residence. You also need to choose which visa you are applying for (tourist or business).

Lastly, select how many times you want to enter the country.

Step 2: Click To Get Your Visa

Next, you need to click "Get my visa." This will take you to your next step, which will start your application process.

Step 3: Provide Your Personal Information

After you click to get your visa, you need to provide information like your travel details, email, passport number, and passport expiration date.

Step 4: Choose Your Additional Services

Here you can add additional services. These services are that they keep a digital copy of your visa in case your passport gets stolen, and they can schedule your Covid-19 test for you.

Step 5: Confirm Your Application

Review all your details and confirm. The total price of your order will depend on the services you select, the number of travelers, and the number of business days they have to process your order, starting with the day they submit your application. Consular fees are subject to change without notice. You need to provide the required travel documents. They will tell you everything you need to know.
