SDF Rates:
International visitors (excluding India): USD 200 per person per night.
Indian visitors: 1,200 ngultrum (or equivalent in INR) per person per night.
50% discount for US dollar-paying tourists: USD 100 per person per night (valid until 31 August 2027).
Exemptions:
Children under 6 years old.
Day visitors to Bhutanese border towns.
Concessions:
Children aged 6 to 11 years old receive a 50% discount.
Children aged 12 and above pay the full SDF.

Refunds, Rejections & Reapplications
Is the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) refundable if I cancel my trip?
Yes. Any cancelled trip will receive a full Sustainability Development Fee (SDF) refund. However, any associated bank charges will be deducted from the total refund amount. Requests for SDF refunds must be submitted to the Department of Immigration.

If you encounter difficulties processing your Bhutan e-permit, follow these steps:
Check for errors: Carefully review your application for any mistakes in personal information, passport details, or itinerary. Even minor errors can hinder the process.

Yes, the Bhutan e-permit is extendable. The extension can be made in person at the Department of Immigration by paying an extension fee and the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for each additional day.
Note: You must apply for an extension before your current permit expires. Additionally, the extension may come at a significant cost, so it is advisable to check the fees beforehand.
